The government has announced transitional arrangements for people who held or had applied for a 457 visa before 18 April 2017. These visa holders will be able to transition to permanent residency after working in their role for at least 2 years. They will not be affected by the changes in March 2018.
People who received their 457 visa after 18 April might only be able to transition to permanent residence if their occupation is on the MLTSSL. We will update further when we have more information.
If you hold a 457 visa and are interested in transitioning to permanent residency, contact us today on 6161 9239 for a consultation.
